In 2012 Tinashe released two of her mixtapes that she recorded in her home studio by herself (in her bedroom), they are called ' In Case We Die' & 'Reverie'. After the release and success of  her mixtapes Tinashe was then signed to RCA Records and continued to produce her third mixtape called 'Black Water' in 2013. Soon after that Tinashe revealed that she is going to be releasing her album 'Aquarius' on October 7 2014. Tinashe then released her song '2On' January 2014 which became a huge hit & eventually became worldwide. The song stayed at #1 on the radio charts for over 4 consecutive weeks and has peaked at #24 on the USA BILLBOARD CHARTS, becoming her first top 40 song.

Apart from music Tinashe is known for acting. In 2008-2009 Tinashe has a recurring role in American sitcom 'Two & A Half Men' as Celeste, Jake's girlfriend.

Tinashe Kachingwe was born in Lexington, Kentucky but only lived there for a couple of months. Tinashe's father Michael Kachingwe is originally from Zimbabwe and her mother Amie Kachingwe is of Danish, Norwegian and Irish ancestry. When Tinashe was a young child, her parents and her 2 younger brother Thulani and Kudzai moved to Los Angeles California. Tinashe attended Cresenta Valley High School for a year before finsihing early to purse her dreams full-time.

Tinashe has had the opportunity to performe solo first time infront of 57,000 people at the Dogers VS.Cubs baseball game singing 'God Bless America'.

Over the years where Tinashe has produced her 3 amazing mixtapes and her album 'Aquarius' on her tracks she has worked with producers such as Dev Haynes, Boi1da, Ryan Hemsworth and Tinashe herself.

Tinashe now gets the opportunity to travel worldwide to visit her fans & to be able to perform phenominal music. Tinashe's album 'Aquarius'  did so well in the charts and on itunes that she has been given her own platinum plaque that includes her hit song '2ON' and her No.1 Debut album 'Aquarius'.
